The Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery (FIENS) hosted a virtual visiting professor program featuring Dr. Nqobile Thango, a leading pediatric neurosurgeon from South Africa, who presented on traumatic brain injury in a global context. Dr. Thango discussed the management of TBI across diverse healthcare systems and proposed steps to improve outcomes worldwide. The program, coordinated by Dr. Jack Rock, aims to extend FIENS’ work beyond residency and fellowship training to include postgraduate education, with Dr. Tran, an alumni of the fellowship programs, serving as the moderator.
