Welcome Dr. Jogi Pattisapu,
The FIENS Board would like to welcome Dr. Jogi V. Pattisapu to the FIENS Board. He will continue Dr. Johnston’s great work as the Global Surgical Volunteer Program Coordinator. Dr. Johnston has been serving in the role since 2018.
Jogi was recruited by Dr. Johnston and another FIENS Board Member, Dr. Rosseau. Jogi is a leader in global pediatric neurosurgery; he has filled leadership roles with the Joint Pediatric Section of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Latin American Association of Neurosurgical Societies (FLANC), and the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons (ISPN). He has also been extensively involved in neurosurgery education in India. Jogi is looking forward to continuing to develop the Global Surgical Volunteer Program, bringing neurosurgeons from all over the world to established FIENS partner sites.
We thank Dr. Johnston for his service and leadership over the past four years and for supporting FIENS in finding an outstanding successor for the program.
